Jianhua Zhang

Jianhua is from Beijing. Just three years after graduating from university, she stepped into a leadership role at a world-renowned software company. She has since spent more than two decades building and leading companies in the telecommunications and computer technology industry, and in 2009, she founded her own business. Her running journey began in the Gobi Desert. Introduced to endurance running through the Gobi Challenge in 2018, she went on to represent the CEIBS A Team at the 15th Xuanzang Road Gobi Challenge in 2020. Her team won the EMBA division championship, and Jianhua also earned the overall time-adjusted title across both the men’s and women’s fields. Her Gobi race number was A06. Jianhua has completed three full rounds of the World Marathon Majors and became a Seven Star Finisher in 2025 after completing the Sydney Marathon. Now, she lines up at the start of the 777 World Marathon Challenge wearing bib number 6. The number remains the same, but the challenge has reached an entirely new level.
