Maksym Kryvenko

Maksym is 48 years old and has been running long distances for the past 12 years. Over that time, he has completed many marathons — so many that he has never kept count. In his youth, he was a professional sprinter, giving him a strong athletic foundation that continues to shape his approach to running today. Professionally, Maksym’s work is closely connected to marathon running. He is the director and CEO of a company that organizes marathons and half marathons in Ukraine. Even during the war, his team continues to hold races in Kyiv, Lviv, and several other cities, demonstrating resilience and a deep commitment to the running community. With extensive experience of marathons from the organizational side, Maksym decided to take part in the World Marathon Challenge to experience the sport from a completely new perspective. This will be his most unusual running challenge to date. He has never competed in a multi-day or ultradistance race, making this both an unfamiliar and meaningful test.
