Sahar Halim

Sahar Halim began running in 2019 as a way to heal after the loss of her grandmother. Although she had always been an athlete, she had never considered herself a runner. Running became a way to focus her energy and give purpose to her grief. That same year, she connected with a fellow runner whose child had been treated at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, inspiring her to use her miles to support families facing childhood illness. Since then, Sahar has dedicated her running to fundraising for St. Jude, raising more than $250,000 through marathons and endurance challenges worldwide, including $100,000 for a single fundraising challenge. She has competed in nearly all of the Abbott World Marathon Majors and, in 2024, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Using running as a force for good continues to motivate Sahar as she pursues her athletic goals while making a meaningful impact for children and families in need.
